Pastor of Student Ministries
The Gathering of Centerville, Ohio is looking for a Pastor for Student Ministries. They are a Christ-centered and grace-oriented church on a mission to connect more people to Jesus. The purpose of the student ministries is to connect more students to Jesus and to equip them to REMAIN CONNECTED to Him for life. They are looking for a gifted leader to accomplish this purpose by partnering with their students, the volunteer leaders, and the parents. Their new Pastor for Student Ministries will have great freedom and significant resources to build a program that will develop life-long followers of Christ.
What you’ll be doing:
Empowering teams to effectively disciple middle school and high school students at The Gathering
Equipping team members by providing them with necessary training and tools
Ensuring the effective implementation of an inviting, growth-oriented and mission-focused student ministry at The Gathering
Cultivating an inviting and participatory environment for weekly student gatherings
Designing an intentional discipleship process for middle school and high school students
Collaborating with all ministries and ministry leaders at The Gathering
What you need to have:
Ability to effectively communicate Biblical truth for practical application
A highly relational and conversational demeanor
A passion to be humble, hungry, and smart
The ability to envision the future, recruit and equip a team to accomplish it, and follow-through on the details
Efficiency at multi-platform communication
Centerville is a large suburb in the greater Dayton, Ohio area. Dayton is a family-friendly city with plenty of museums, attractions, and a plethora of outdoor activities. Five rivers converge in the Dayton area providing opportunities for kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and more. Scores of highly rated hiking trails can be found inside the city as well as within a short drive. For those who enjoy urban living, downtown Dayton is currently experiencing a resurgence, driven largely by new restaurants, artisan shops, outdoor markets
