ABOUT NEWHOPE
Newhope exists to present hope and develop people. We are one church with multiple locations. Our Silverdale campus was planted in 2018. We are building a team passionate about serving people and bringing the hope of Jesus to our community: across the street & around the world.
We win with kids! Our Youth and Kids Ministries are currently rebuilding after the pandemic, but we are believing for more families to make their way to our community and are looking to bring on a person who is excited to serve families and who is innovative in growing a ministry. Our Youth Pastor needs to be strategically minded, administratively skilled, passionate about recruiting and equipping teams, pastoral, and excel in developing leaders. This position is well suited for someone looking to advance his/her leadership skills in multiple areas of ministry, to cultivate gifts in communication, and to be creative within a church multiplication context.
DESCRIPTION
- Lead Youth Ministry
o Responsible for the Newhope students’ experience during mid-week and Sunday gatherings.
o Recruit and develop Small Group Leaders for community group time with the students.
o Work with the other Newhope Youth Leads to plan events, help coordinate camps, and support the overall mission of our Youth ministries across all our campuses.
o Oversee yearly Youth Ministry budget and work with the Campus Lead for necessary adjustments.
- Other Responsibilities
o Give the talk on a Sunday morning one-two times a year.
o Give voice to necessary marketing adjustments to ensure the youth ministry is being appropriately represented.
o Attend all-campus events (examples being: worship nights, serve days, Lead & Learn dinners, Growth Tracks, etc.)
o Participate in both all-campuses meetings (currently 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month) and campus-specific meetings (currently 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month)
o Meet bi-monthly with the Campus Lead and/or the Associate Pastor.
- Licensing (recommended)
o Pursue licensing and ordination with the Assemblies of God.
