Commensurate with experience OR Direct payment for Seminary Education
Purpose of Position
Provide creative, Christ-centered programming that engages equips, and integrates each generation into a full life of faith, fellowship, worship, outreach, and mission; model discipleship and nature a growing, dynamic staff of leadership.
Accountability
Reports to the Head of Staff
Accountable to the Session and Head of Staff
Performance standards and rights shall be those stated in the GPC employee handbook and shall follow the laws of the State of California. Annual performance reviews shall be conducted by the Head of Staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and lead the high school ministry
Be available for children’s ministry on Sunday mornings during worship
Plan, oversee and attend family ministry programs (Sunday mornings, Midweeks, camps, retreats, mission trips and other creative opportunities)
Attend weekly staff meetings
Model relational ministry with students and their families
Recruit and develop new leadership for all areas of family ministries programs (Children’s, Middle School, High School, College and Young Adult). Administer background checks and fingerprinting for all volunteers working with minors.
Communicate Regularly with high school students
Host a weekly hang out off church campus
Handle the youth ministries' budget and social media accounts
Sustain a level of personal health and maturity that will lead to healthy and effective ministry. Participate in development opportunities that address areas of identified personal and professional growth
