Jesus’ death and resurrection completely changed the world and in the immediate aftermath, the early Christ followers were trying to figure out exactly what that meant for their lives. This is what the New Testament writings are all about: real people writing letters to others about the story of Jesus’ life and talking about how life should now be different. The best way to read a letter and get the most out of it, is to read it fully in one sitting. With how long some of the letters of the Bible are, that can be difficult, but Viva! Letters has got you covered.
Viva! Letters explores the shortest “books” of the New Testament. Each week, you will dig into a different letter and talk about each author’s specific intent with their audience. Then you will turn the discussion to how we today can learn from the 1st Century communities as they figured out what it meant to live for Christ.
Specifically, we will look at the following:
Week 1: Philemon
Week 2: 2 John
Week 3: 3 John
Week 4: Jude
Includes 4 lessons, instructions, and two slide templates for PowerPoint, Keynote, MediaShout, ProPresenter or another display system.
