The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide for Teenagers isn’t a normal book. It’s not even a normal Zombie survival guide. It’s a story of three teenagers enduring and surviving against the odds, adapting where many adults failed. Not many teenagers survived “The Havoc,” probably because most didn’t acclimate and learn like these three.

So what’s the secret to their survival?

Good question. The answer lies in these pages, a journal written by a teenager named Chris.

Each section includes some discussion questions to help you digest what you just read. These questions will point to the Bible here and there for some wisdom that has stood the test of time: wisdom for surviving your real world.

“Great strategies to outlast the zombies (who are coming), and apply ancient truths to obstacles we continue to face everyday.” — Ralph Winter, Hollywood Producer (X-MenPlanet of the ApesLostX-Men Origins: Wolverine, and dozens more)

“This fast, fun, anything-but-typical devotional is packed with all kinds of good stuff: thoughts about faith, God, life … and how to survive the creepy schemes of history’s ultimate zombie. (You know who I’m talking about!) I love how Jonathan weaves solid Bible teaching into an entertaining storyline. Teens won’t put this book down!” — Michael Ross, bestselling author of What Your Son Isn’t Telling You and a former youth editor at Focus on the Family

“Jonathan’s creative new Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide for Teenagers is exactly the type of devotional teenagers will actually read. This resourceful little tool provides a captivating fictional story about three teenagers surviving against the odds, cleverly interjecting 27 sets of questions that drive young people to think deeply about decision-making, their morals, and truth from God’s word. In a fun, interesting way, Jonathan helps teens tackle tough issues like coping with pain and depression, drinking, loving difficult people, and the temptation to indulge in fleshly desires. The teenage guys in my small group will be blown away that there’s a Christian author who uses the popular post-apocalyptic fictional premise to address their real-life issues–I’m looking forward to hear their response.” — Doug Fields

The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide for Teenagers is awesome!  Actually, it’s brilliant.  Part “The Walking Dead” and part survival journal, it is guaranteed to grab the attention of even the most jaded and bored teen, surreptitiously guiding them to think about life’s most important issues.  Want your kids to consider life from a biblical perspective?  Give them this—it’s that good!” –Rick Johnson, bestselling author of That’s My Son, and Better Dads Stronger Sons

I loved this book! It is an easy read (necessary for teenager and for busy youth workers), has huge potential for bible studies, small group discussions, retreats, anything is possible! Talked about it with co-workers and we immediately said “Zombie Retreat”! What teenager could resist that! Well done, Jonathan McKee, good and faithful servant!

This was a gift for my nephew for his 14th birthday. My sister is making it a daily devotional that she reads. She says that it’s a very good read and flows well. I think it’s a great way to reach teenagers. The story is appealing and exciting and also thought provoking. I’d recommend this for anyone 13-18.

I’m sorry but my rating is a 5/5 not 3/5. I’ve corrected it here. The book was very good.
