Youth Ministry Jobs - Youth Pastor

Compass Church in Salinas, Ca, is in search of their next Full Time Director of Youth Ministries. They are looking for someone to lead, serve , and direct Middle School & High School students and their families to accomplish the Vision of Compass Church. Compass is one church with 3 location with over 2,000 church members. Compass is looking for someone who has a passion for teenagers and a strong desire to build life changing relationships.

Salary Range: $65-75k+ (depending on experience) full medical/dental; Church Housing is available, 4 weeks’ vacation and 2 weeks study leave, books, continued education and other allowance, 5% of salary into retirement account.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in full time Youth Ministry

Responsibilities:

Teach, organize and oversee the middle school and high school mid-week and Sunday morning programs.
Oversee the recruitment of middle school and high school adult leaders.
Build dynamic relationships with students and adult leaders.
Lead middle school and high school summer and winter trips.
Provide service opportunities.
Manage the youth budget within the guidelines of the approved budget and adhere to the purchasing policies of the church.
Organize and run the annual “Turkey Trot” youth ministry fundraiser.

Skills you’ll need to have:

Know the Bible and demonstrate skills in teaching and living it.
Hard worker and passionate about youth ministry.
Have an understanding of the challenges facing students and parents.
Be a student of Scripture.
Full time ministry experience at a local church.
Excellent communication skills.
Energetic and loves to laugh!
Competency with computers, music, and video.

Compass Church is Located in Salinas, California. Salinas is a short drive away from beautiful beaches in Monterey and Carmel . Compass’ main campus is a 1,500 seat worship center and 2 satellite campuses. We are non-denominational (under the umbrella of ECO), Bible believing, Jesus-centered church.
