Westminster Presbyterian Church (EPC) is seeking a Youth Minister. In order to be completely open to God’s guidance, we are accepting candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment.
Westminster has a history of commitment to Youth Ministry; therefore, the new Youth Minister will find the program to have good resources and facilities. Currently, we have a core of 15-20 middle and high school youth, with a considerable number of grade-schoolers that we hope to see move into the youth program in the coming years. We desire a Youth Minister who will nurture our own youth, while attempting to reach into the community to impact those beyond our church family.
Westminster is located in Bluefield, West Virginia, which is at the southern tip of the state. We are minutes from the border of Virginia, and thus our congregation is a reflection of the area known as “the two Virginias.” Over the past couple decades, as the coal industry has weakened, there has been a decline in the local population and economy. However, Bluefield has just been selected by a major technology corporation (“Intuit”) to be the location of their newest jobsite, so the area is seeing the potential for new development. In this context, Westminster seeks to be salt and light, offering the hope of the Gospel to people of all backgrounds and socio-economic classes. Our hope is that God will lead us into a season of growth, so we are looking for someone who has the mentality of a builder – along with the drive, personality, commitment, and ability that being a builder requires.
If interested, please email a resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org
From there, our search committee will pray over each candidate, and we will send a request for more information to those who seem like a possible fit for the position.
