Purpose: As we move forward in our mission of making disciples, we seek to equip the next generation for leadership in ministry. In doing so, we utilize the gifts and abilities of young leaders and volunteers to make an impact in the lives of middle and high school students.
Reports to: Ryan Chaisson (Missions Pastor) & Sarah Wedel (StudentLife Director)
Student Ministry intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:
-Discipling and mentoring middle and high school students
-Planning and organizing select Student Ministry activities or events
-Teaching in select Student Ministry programs (Sunday morning/Wednesday Night/Camps)
-Reading through provided material and completing ministry assignments
-Meeting with MMCC staff for training and leadership development
Hours: 40+ per week
Compensation: $500/month with provision of housing
Criteria: Applicants must have completed at least one year of college, have a personal laptop computer, and bring a vehicle for transportation throughout the duration of the internship. Interns will be placed in a host home for the summer.

Definition & Summary of Position:

Necessary Knowledge and Skills:
A strong commitment to helping churched and unchurched students know and follow Jesus. Must possess a patience and love for students while also having the knowledge and skills needed to relate to and lead students in a large group setting. Needs to be highly energetic to keep up with students. Must be open-minded and grace-filled as you encounter students in various walks of life.
StudentLife Interns should have a strong & growing personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as well as a love for students and desire to teach about the love of Jesus. Interns need to have a fun-loving and energetic personality that enjoys spending time with students.
