Director of Student Ministries

Trinity on Jackson Church (a United Methodist Congregation) is a large format church in Elkhart, Indiana.  We are seeking to hire leadership for Student Ministries.  A successful candidate will have a vital and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be committed to living and modeling a Godly lifestyle inside and outside of the church.  We seek candidates who have a college degree and experience relevant to the area that demonstrates positive outcomes.

We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented individual to lead our Student Ministries. This person should have experience and knowledge working with middle and high school students, as well as skill in recruiting/training small group leaders and teams to offer students a taste of what committed Christian community is all about.

They should be able to engage students in ways that break down stereotypes, gender awkwardness, cliques, and negative behavior that may be perceived as ‘cool’ – but still incorporate more traditional expressions of Christian faith such as prayer, scripture, worship, and missions. We want our youth to experience a level of mutual trust and acceptance that they may not find at home, in school, or in sports.
