Director of Student Ministries – 146th Street Campus

Purpose of the Job

The Director of Student Ministries, 146th St. Campus, is responsible for the alignment of Student Ministries at the campus level of Grace Church, leadership of the campus Student Ministries’ staff and volunteer teams, oversight, and direction of weekly programming, and serving as a representative on the integrated Student Ministry Leadership Team.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Represent 146th St Campus as a member of the integrated Student Ministries Leadership Team
    • Create and cast vision for Student Ministries within the overall vision and mission of Grace Church
    • Develop overall programming and schedule of Student Ministries
    • Disseminate how campus staff roles contribute to and assist the overall Student Ministries of Grace Church, while also meeting the unique needs of the 146th St. Student Ministries program
    • Ensure campus alignment with Grace Church’s Student Ministries vision, programming, and scheduling
  • 146th Street Campus Leadership
    • Oversee all aspects of Student Ministries at the campus level
    • Communicate vision, mission, and directives to campus teams
    • Recruit, train and develop campus staff and adult leaders
    • Oversee campus level implementation of Student Ministries programming and events
    • Provide pastoral oversight and presence within campus level Student Ministries events
    • Provide pastoral care to Staff, students and families
    • Manage campus-level resources including oversight of budget and calendar
    • Supervise middle school and high school Staff teams with consistent coaching, training, development, shepherding and assessments of their roles on the team


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Ministry, or related field preferred
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible Student Ministries leadership experience
  • Proven Experience in the following areas of skill:
    • Exhibited thorough knowledge of God’s Word
    • Teaching, public speaking or preaching
    • Ability to communicate love and truth to students
    • Ability to establish healthy, balanced and intentional programming with a team of adults and students
    • Ability to lead and shepherd groups and teams
    • Computer literacy and detail orientation
    • Exhibited knowledge of emotional, cognitive and spiritual challenges specific to students
