The position is part-time but it is well compensated and depending on job performance there is opportunity in the future for the position to become full-time. CENTRAL YOUTH DIRECTOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
(30 hrs. per week)
BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
• Update the board on what is happening in the life of the youth program
• Connect with the Awana program
• Involvement in the Sunday morning program
• Oversee the James Russ and Harding G. Williams Awards
YOUTH PROGRAM
• Create an environment for students to connect with Jesus and live a life of discipleship
• Coordination and operation of the weekly Wired (6th-8th grade) & Crave (9th-12th grade) youth programs
• Coordination and operation of purposeful events and retreats
• Equipping and unifying a strong group of adult youth leaders
• Pastoral care for students
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR POSITION
• Love of Jesus Christ
• Heart for youth
• Dependability
• Bachelors Degree
• 2 years experience in a youth ministry context
• Experience Teaching
• Some Organizational Skills
• Clean clearance records
