Director of Youth Ministry

Church of the Holy Spirit (www.chslf.org), located in beautiful Lake Forest, IL, is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministries who will build upon, strengthen, and grow our current youth program. We are an active, multi-generational, traditional Episcopal church known for our warm, welcoming community, and our vision to reach outside our walls into Lake Forest and beyond. The CHS youth ministry offers students spiritual formation opportunities through a mid-week program, Sunday school, confirmation, and service trips. The director will be responsible for creating a program that inspires and launches discipleship for youth, engenders commitment and trust with parents, and builds a vibrant volunteer culture where volunteers love to serve. Church of the Holy Spirit is looking for a candidate who:

Has a strong personal faith consistent with the beliefs of the Episcopal church.
Is able to connect relationally with students, families, and volunteers.
Has strong teaching, communication, and organizational skills.
Is passionate about leading students toward a life of discipleship.
Has demonstrated ability in building and leading volunteer teams.

Qualifications for this position also include a Bachelor’s degree and experience in successful leadership of a thriving youth ministry.
