Director of Student Ministry
Real Life Church (formerly Lucia Baptist) is a 32-year-old church located in suburbs of Charlotte, NC. The church currently averages 900 people in attendance each weekend over 4 services (three in person and one online). Our mission is to intentionally guide and equip those we encounter to follow Jesus,
be changed by Jesus and embrace the mission of Jesus. We do this by worshiping in large groups,
connecting and growing through small group discipleship and engaging in disciple making both personally and on ministry teams.
We are currently looking for a Student Ministry Director. This is a 40+ hour per week full time role. This role assumes sole leadership for students in Middle School and High school. Our Amplify student ministry averages 60-80 kids per week. We view parents as the primary influence in a student’s life so the Student Minister is expected to partner with parents in helping students develop, grow and take next steps in their faith. The Student Ministry Director works with the Preschool Ministry Director, Children’s Ministry Director and Rt. 56 Tween Ministry Director to form the Family Ministry team.
The starting pay range for this full time role is $40,000-$48,000 dependent on experience, education, giftings and fit. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance and a 10% retirement contribution. Deadline to submit resume is August 19.
Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 3-5+ years experience growing an effective student ministry
Full agreement with RLC’s belief and Lifestyle statements
Demonstration of a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Proven ability to disciple kids and teach them to go and make disciples of other kids
Demonstrate emotional health and spiritual maturity in personal relationships, good judgment and personal integrity.
Team-oriented leader of leaders who is humble, teachable, approachable and committed to coaching and empowering others.
Ability to articulate a clear call to ministry
