DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRIES
St. George's Episcopal Church is located in downtown Fredericksburg, V.A. and is a vibrant and inclusive congregation committed to welcome all. St. George’s is seeking a collaborative and innovative Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries to take this ministry to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a deep faith that is demonstrated by building relationships with both children and youth as well as their caregivers to provide opportunities for formation, fellowship, and pastoral care.
The Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries will manage all aspects of the ministry for nursery to Grade 12 including but not limited to programs and events, outreach and service, worship involvement, volunteer stewardship, family and youth pastoral care, communications and visioning for the future.
Successful candidates will have a love for the Episcopal Church, a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of paid ministry experience. A candidate with previous training or experience with Godly Play or Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is preferred.
