Director of Student Ministries

Lake Oconee Church in Greensboro, Georgia is looking for a Director of Student Ministries to join their team. The primary role of this position would include hands-on leadership and volunteer team-building for a rapidly growing ministry. The candidate they are seeking will have a passion for student ministry and a track record of leading volunteer leaders and teams, learning and growing, and working in a driven, strategic way at this multisite, North Point Partner church.

What you’ll be doing:

• Equipping a team of small group leaders

• Growing the student ministry from the foundation that has already been established

• Enhancing weekly large group experiences

• Developing bridges to college students

Skills you’ll need to have:

• Love for the Heavenly Father and knowledge of the Bible

• Ability to galvanize a team of volunteers

• Emotionally smart

• Ability to manage details

• Familiarity with the North Point ministry model

Lake Oconee Church is located just south of I-20 beside Lake Oconee, about 60 minutes from Atlanta, 60 minutes from Augusta, and 60 minutes from Athens. The area offers one of the biggest lakes in the state, one of the best charter schools in the nation, and some of the prettiest golf courses around, allowing the church to serve young families, successful business people, and mobile retirees. The ministry area is Georgia’s Lake Country, spanning four counties and including some 100,000 people in and around Greensboro, Eatonton, Madison, and Milledgeville.
