Minister of Faith Formation

Central Christian Church (https://centralchristianlex.org) located in Lexington, Kentucky is a progressive, vital, and growing congregation. The church is currently seeking a full-time Minister of Faith Formation who will be an integral part of the development of a comprehensive plan for the children, youth, and adult ministries and implementing changes necessary to accomplish that plan. 

Main responsibilities include visioning, relationship building with children, youth, parents, volunteers, adults, and church staff, program leadership growth and development, and recruitment, training, and encouragement of volunteers. Central Christian is seeking someone who will share their passion in welcoming believers who seek to journey in faith with Jesus Christ, as well as questioners who have doubts or do not believe.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree. Some seminary study, up to and including M.Div is preferred. An openness to pursuing commission or ordination is encouraged. A willingness to engage in the Disciples of Christ denomination is required, although all denomination traditions are welcome to apply. Excellent communication and organization skills are a must along with a strong sense of self.
