It’s been about a month since Jon Huckins and I published Good News in the Neighborhood: A 6-Week Curriculum for Groups. Jon and I worked for months and months, pouring our hearts and hours of our lives into those lessons. And it’s been exhilarating to hear feedback as groups begin to using it.
Here’s some feedback from Lucas in Florida:
I Wanted to email you and tell you that we are in week 2 of “Good News in the Neighborhood” and it has been fantastic so far. The homework each week is really great for the students, and I am really looking forward to how the Lord will use the curriculum to stretch us to be the Gospel wherever we find ourselves.
Also, I took a picture of our homework from week 1. Instead of noting characteristics, I assigned the task to look for people, places, or things that need an encounter with the Good News of Jesus. Then I gave the students sticky notes and told them to write them down and put them on the wall, as a visual reminder of the need for Good News among us.
